Basic License Training

In general, a person who is a holder of a valid and current EASA Part 66 License is privileged to work on aircraft and under his CRS entitlements can certify the work and the aircraft as “fit for the flight”.

For individuals to gain their Basic License, they should have:

CATEGORY A1

Completed the appropriate Modules with a PART 147 and have a Certificate of Recognition
Completed 1 Years’ experience with an AMO (Aircraft Maintenance Organisation)

CATEGORIES B1.1/B2
Completed the appropriate Modules with a PART 147 and have a Certificate of Recognition
Completed the relevant Years experience with an AMO (Aircraft Maintenance Organisation), which are:

1. TWO years after successful completion of Basic Knowledge Training with a Part 147
2. THREE years following academic graduation from a Technical College that is recognized by the Competent Authority at the time of the License application
3. FIVE years following an Academic Degree or Masters qualification
4. ONE year in Civil Aircraft Environment, for personnel that have worked in military or police aviation for more than four years

Holders of Modular Certificates by any Part 147 Organization can apply to any Competent Authority for the License.
